Dear Reader,

Summer has been teasing us here on the Mendocino Coast. If you've never been here, summer is when the sun shines in the morning and just as you've trekked all your picnic goodies down to the beach, the fog rolls in. Lucky for us, we live about two miles from the beach- just past the fog line where we get plenty of sunshine.

The kids will be out of school soon and this year I refuse to let the summer slip by. Last year I'd had so many big plans, most of which never happened. There always seemed to be something more pressing to attend to. Before I knew it, summer was over. This year, we're going to make a list of all the things we want to do and I will make the time.

I remember feeling this way when I was still working outside of the home. I didn't want to wake up one day to see that my daughters had grown up without me.

Now, as I see my oldest daughter approach the age of leaving the nest, I realize sharply how precious life is, and how important it is to cherish every moment. As summer approaches, I hope you are closer to achieving your goal of working at home.
