A Note From Sharon:

Dear Reader,

Even though my daughter finished her senior year early in January, June is still going to be a very busy month for her. She turns 18 in a little over a week and is preparing to move to where she'll be going to college. Plus she's working full time and just had her wisdom teeth out-- ouch! It's a pretty stressful time for all of us, trying to get financing nailed down, looking for an apartment, worrying about whether or not she'll have everything she needs.

If I were still at my demanding, stressful job I'm quite sure this would be even more difficult--how would I find the time to do everything that needs to be done? It's times like these that I realize how lucky I am to be working at home. While it does mean that I may find myself working late at night (like now, for example) I know that I'm fortunate to have the choice to even do that.

With every issue that I put together each month, my goal is to give you the most useful articles, ideas and resources to help you to be able to work at home too. I hope that you'll find some inspiration in this issue.

Warmly,
Sharon Davis

Working From Home With Your FamilyWorking From Home With Your Family
© Obinna Heche

Many people think of working from home as a way to simply make the money that they need to make in order to pay the bills so that their family can live as comfortably as possible. Too many times when someone is working from home, they take their family for granted and the family starts to feel as if the work from home job might take up just as much of their loved ones time and energy than a job would if they were going to it.

Also, it is way too easy for someone to take on too much work as they work from home, because they might be tempted to simply work all day and all night and will forget to take the time to be away from work. Having a job at home means that you are never away from your job, which can be very dangerous.
