A Note From Sharon:
Dear Reader, Arms are becoming a real problem in my house.
Last week, my husband injured his shoulder and pretty much lost the use of his arm. Not but a few days later, on the second day of school, my daughter broke her arm (don't you just love nation ball??) Luckily it was her left arm, and she's right handed, but still I was surprised at the many ways that neither of them were able to function on their own. She's no longer in pain and is actually enjoying the newfound celebrity that having a cast can provide in the 5th grade.
As a result, my husband has been off work for a couple of weeks now. He is doing much better and feels almost 100%, but has still not been signed off by the doctor to return. While I love him dearly, it's made me realize how much I enjoy having the house (and my office) to myself during the week!
I'll get up to throw a load of laundry in and when I return, there he is watching a baseball game on the computer. I'll run some errands and when I return it looks like a cyclone hit my desk!
He's getting closer to retirement age, so I guess I'd better learn how to deal with this-- and quick! Ah...one of the unexpected challenges of working at home.
I hope you enjoy this month's issue. Drop me a line, I always look forward to hearing from you. Warmly, Sharon Davis
