Personally, I like promoting digital products as an affiliate because you don't have to answer any customer support questions/inquiries, you don't have to deliver the product, you don't have to have a website for that product, you don't have to do anything except promote and collect a check.

Here are a list of directories to hunt for affiliate programs:

http://www.clickbank.com/

http://paydotcom.com/

http://www.commissionjunction.com/

http://www.associateprograms.com/

http://www.affiliatefirst.com/

http://www.abestweb.com/

http://www.affiliatetip.com/

http://www.affiliateguide.com/

http://simplythebest.net/affiliates/

http://www.affiliate-programs-directory.com/

http://www.affiliateseeking.com/

http://www.globalhighway.com/

http://www.2-tier.com/

http://www.sponsordirectory.com/

http://www.100best-affiliate-programs.com/

This list is just a portion of the directories out there where you can find affiliate programs that are perfect for you. When you look at some of these, you will notice that many of them list well over a thousand different programs. With that in mind, this list should give you plenty of options!

You can also include sharesale.com. They have a lot of products over there.

I just recently wrote posted an article on my favorite affiliate programs, but I'm not sure if giving the link to the article would be considered an "Ad" or not. I'll just say that it was posted at my karlyns.com if you want to read it. Hope that's ok.

Meanwhile, more affiliate networks you might want to consider are:

(Admin: links below are direct to the site, they are not referral links)

PepperJam Network
http://www.pepperjamnetwork.com/

Google's Affiliate Network (this is not adsense)

Link Connector

Here is another site that has affiliate products and is very helpful towards affiliates, i.e. getting paid convenience for starters. It is a direct competitor to clickbank.com. Here is a review of click2sell.
