Just to be fair. We don't know if the original poster was the "theif" or if he was the victim of someone selling "PLR" who sold Jeff's article. Both happen.

Those who steal article content, website content and spin content that others put a lot of hard work into...always irk me off to no end! I notice that a lot of folks who do rip off content and post it on forums are usually one hit wonders (meaning they only post 1-3 times and run). However, there are a few exceptions to this as I have seen posters who have high post counts also do it but the majority of the time, it's one hit wonders.

Resource boxes are posted with the author's article for a reason...to make sure the ORIGINAL author gets the proper credit for their work.

Hi Ravish,

I completely agree with your words. Stealing the content and posting the spin content does not serve any purpose.

To start any kind of online business in the world one need to have clear idea on what business they want to deal with. The knowledge of target customer is also very much required to conduct business and internet business it is a no case of exception from this rule. A proper knowledge on vision and target customer helps the people to figure out several business strategies in making them successful. The business plans are organized according to the need of customers and their interest in particular item.

I agree that plagiarism is completely wrong. If you use someone's work, you have to give credit to that person. My husband just went through a facility training program to teach college classes and the number one thing they discussed was students stealing other author's work. The college actually has a software program that an instructor can copy and paste a paper into and it will search the internet and compares sentences. They can tell right away if a student is plagiarizing his/her work.

Dear fellow Entrepueners-

I just wrote an ezine a few weeks back regarding this same topic (Successful tips in Indentifying the "Perfect" Home Business. I will not recite word from word the article itself since you can google my name and find it.
however there are few "basics" that everyone should be doing regarding due diligence "must dos" that are not mentioned in this thread at all, that I will list again for everone's benefit:

a) Irrespective of the business program you are promoting, the product or service being promoted MUST provide TRUE VALUE to your "prospective" customers/clients. If the product or service being promoted does not provide TRUE VALUE, than you should not get involved in that business opportunity.

b) Would you purchase the product or service yourself (even if you were not promoting the business?) Think about this question for a moment and be honest.... Probably many would say NO. If you woudn't purchase the product or service yoruself-how do you expect to promote the product or service to your "prospective customers if you would not purchase it yourself? You have to believe in the product or sercvice you are promoting to be successful-in this business.

c) After factoring in, your monthly reocurrng membership fees, e-mail auto-responder fees, web-hosting fees, merchant account, drop-shippping fees
(if you are promoting products), advertising fees, fax, and phone service, does the prodcut and service still hold up and stand alone in providing TRUE VALUE?

d) If the product or service does not provide TRUE VALUE, you need to seriously question what is it then that you are promoting? There are many "businesses" online that are just promoting the "business sytem" which is the product-which is an illegal ponzi pyramid scheme. I was duped 5 years ago for abut 10K with such a system I "unknowingly" signed into-but am much wiser becuse of this experience and am more than happy to help guide others from making the same costly $$ mistakes that I did.

e) Make sure what ever program you decide upon to join-that you get at a minimum-30 day written guarnatee to uit the program without losing your SHIRT and then some. if it is a reputable company, this should not be a problem, my webhosting company website I emply for my coaching/goal setting business allows all bsiness owners to quit, and the amount of refnd is pro-rated baed upon the amount of time you are in the business.

f) If you're developing your own website-make sure your website is CONTENT oriented first. The Search engines MOTHER GOOGLE, YAHOO and now BING can differnetiate between run of the mill SCAM websites, and VALUE CONTENT, CONTENT is what drives the SE human traffic that we all need to just remain competitive-irrespective of your business.

Best-

Wayne
