I worked for West a few years ago. It was fun. A great way to earn extra money. They have started paying your taxes for you and offering paid training. They did not have that when I worked for them. If you love talking and are very good with people, it may be the WAH job for you.

Sometimes there are waiting lists for certain states. Sometimes you just need to try a different company. There are several different call center companies.

I agree. Convergys is a big name in the call center industry. I have a lot of friends who are working there. They said that the compensation package they give to employees is really good. They also provide trainings to their office workers. Really great company indeed.

I just don't know if they offer the same to their work from home employees. :D

I worked for them for a few years "before" they did away with independent contractors. I had a very good position with them, made great money and I loved my job. Then the bomb fell. :( Due to tax laws in MA they could not hire from my state and I lost my job. Not saying I was mistreated, after all it was just business.

I say, if they hire in your state and you get the opportunity to work for them Go For It.
