For some Marketers, this is the way to go. I have met a few people over the years that swear by it. I know a few people who make over $100k a year working their multi level marketing program. The unfortunate part about it is that they were the only one making money. No one on their team was duplicating the efforts they were doing. Weather they were selling vitamins, travel, a gas saver product, lotions, potions, pills, candles or juice beverage products, I have tried it all and it was a difficult task for me. Once I ran out of my friends and family to bug about my new business, once I had two or three home parties, I ran out of leads, so I started buying leads in hopes to try to convert some people into my business. That is so much harder than it sounds. Sure I made sales, but by the time I was getting to the next profit level, the people who I brought in 2-3 months ago were dropping like flies. This is why I could never make it to the next big payout level of the commission plan. For some reason, I would always fall short of the next bonus payout or car bonus. Usually, I would fall short of personal volume or group volume or I would have enough on my left side, but not enough on my right side, so I would miss out on the big payouts, month after month.
This got to be the same old stuff you hear about why MLM doesn’t work for most people and the only people making money were the people at the top of the pyramid. People with huge dowlines and people that have been in the business a long time and lists of hundreds of thousands of people to market to. For any newbie joining, good luck. I once watched a stay at home mom put $13,000 into a business to quit within a year. Most of us are smarter than that and would have quit after a few months and maybe only lost $1000 down the drain, but this person was persistent and did not want to fail. So she kept plugging away until they had no money left and when gas prices went to $3.50, the father of the family couldn’t afford to put gas in the car. So much for helping out.
The only thing we have found on the internet to work for most people is a direct sales company that pays you 100% of the sale. Companies that have a price point of less than $1000 to start. This is the only way you have a chance to succeed. Beware of the $4000 to $5000 programs without the training and support to back it up. The truth about most start ups is that they have no track record. You have no idea if they will be in business two years later. Watch out for people who jump ship every time a new program comes out on the internet. Most importantly, be careful of the programs that lack the ability for long-term growth and development. These programs are hard to sell, no matter how good they sound.
I hope this helps your research in determining a company that you can be proud to represent.

I agree wholeheartedly about MLMs. I have certainly had my share, and definitely my fill.

MLMs have a 97% fail rate. Something they don't tell you at the meetings.

Most home business have a 90%+ failure rate because folks don't stick it out! Any home based busness takes time to grow and make money. Too bad folks don't realize that...hey, if there was a such thing about making money "overnight" we would all be doing it! LOL! I always ask my team, "would you hire yourself if you were applying for a job?" Most would say no...folks don't treat a home biz like a business!

Wow!
This is truly awesome information on Multi level Marketing. I really loved your post. Thanks a ton for sharing it...
Multilevel marketing is a skill that takes time to learn. If you have spent years perfecting your business offline it can be scary to learn the new skill of conducting business online. There is no need for you to feel alone in this venture though. If you want to make money from home these days the internet can make it much easier than it ever was in the past. Turning your business into an online business is just the smart thing to do. Doing business off line is becoming less popular every day. You have to keep up with the changing times.
Multilevel marketing is a great way to make money from home. It is not easy but it is possible. What do you have to lose? If you play your cards right you could lose a bunch of debt and gain financial freedom. Multilevel marketing is available to anyone who wants to give it a try. There are salespeople from many multilevel companies that are always looking for a new recruit. The level of your success is up to you.
Multilevel Marketing Leads are like gold in the MLM business. If you have been involved with any network marketing for any period of time, then you know leads are a premium. Without good leads coming in, your business will dry up fast. Multi level marketing is known as network marketing. This business makes a person associated to a company in an independent transaction approach. This is a kind of business where franchising and direct selling are combined.

I have been in a MLM business for over a year now. I believe it is the only legitamate company that I have found. Everything that has been promised by the company has come true. In our company we have the best of both worlds we work at home with our own flexibility so we have time for our family and friends as well as the team support you come to expect when working in an office.

In the MLM I'm in now they make it a point to tell you the failure rate. They also point out that if an MLM reaches 50 million in revenue per year they will be successful. I do agree that most don't. I also think MLMs that have a good product will tell these facts.

Yes online advertising may be effective but what I have witnessed using word of mouth has been absolutely amazing. The team I'm on has grown to 9,500 people in 17 month's by word of mouth only. In that we've learned the most important thing we do is teach our downlines to be successful. Our trainer Dr.David Pietsch is absolutely the best I have personally ever seen giving a Presentation and/or training session. I know there are other great presenters out there, it's nice have someone like him on your team.
The friendships made by doing business by word of mouth is also great. Pure positive energy is most important. It's changed my life in a wonderful way
Take care,
Willy

Well first of I dont think MLM is that bad. I just started and recieve a couple hundred leads a day. I can see why 97% people fail... but if you have a good company that helps you promote, sell, whatever. It's pretty much a done deal. Just fine places to post, blog, adv. and eventually people come along. I heard that it takes someone to hear something TWENTY times before they go out and decide to do it. It was an entrepreneurship class I took in college anyway just my two cents
