I’ve got a website receiving a good amount of traffic on a regular basis. But I have never hired a Professional to build back links and generate traffic. When I checked the backlinks of my website, I have seen many irrelevant backlinks added. Can anyone please let me know the reason for this unnecessary added irrelevant backlinks and the procedure to remove the same?

Many people use automated systems to link to other sites. I'm not sure if there is any way to prevent this unless you can spot them in your server logs and then block them with your .htaccess file? Anyone have any other ideas?

I just focus on getting quality backlinks by using search engine friendly techniques like article writing, Squidoo, twitter, on-topic forum participation and quality link exchanges. I don't really worry about who else is linking to me, although I've never really had much trouble with irrelevant backlinks.

Anyone else?

Since they've never caused me a problem, I just don't worry about them.
