Hi does anyone know how to pick good affiliate programs? Any suggestions.. I would want to sell something online that is definitely selling... I would greatly appreciate any feedback you can give me. I have a network marketing background but would like to get into the affiliate world on a higher level. Thank you for any help you can provide. God Bless

I use Maxbounty (http://www.maxbounty.com). They have a ton of offers and a wide variety.

Maxbounty is good from what I've heard. I'd recommend researching anything though, before you jump into it. And if you can think of a niche/need that hasn't been filled yet, or any area that is not highly targeted already, those things may help too.
Also, if you can generate traffic, that should help in your efforts as well.
Good luck.

I was wondering if you tried Clickbank? They have pretty high payouts, tons of immediate download stuff. Also, there is shareasale, clixgalore, and linkshare.
Hope this helps you.

Yes I agree that high commissions are one of the most important factors when choosing an affiliate program - But I would also highly recommend choosing an affiliate program based on the sort of support and resources they provide.
If all they give you is an affiliate linking code - Look elsewhere. This may be ok if you are a seasoned affiliate, but when I started out I didn't even know what a tracking link was!
One affiliate program I would like to recommend is called High Profits. I won't leave a link as I don't want you to think I am spamming, but google it and you'll find it. They not only give you banners, gifs, call to actions and other graphical resources - they also give you web templates, reviews, search engine optimised copy and loads of other stuff to help you.
They are a really good example of what an affiliate network SHOULD provide their affiliates. It's just a shame they are in the minority.

Hi Travor,
Another thing to consider is whether they are targeted to your niche. I only do well with affiliate programs in the work at home niche. BizOppNetwork is definitely my most effective network for this reason, they deal exclusively with biz opp offers. Their system is very easy to use with good stats too.
ClickBank and Maxbounty are also well known networks.

It is a good idea to be careful with programs that ask you to pay before you get started. Personally I started working as an affiliate and as a contractor like at elance.com which is a direct exchange of work for pay with an individual or small companies. Now I have my own business starting.
Another resource is Click2sell.com is another reliable affiliate site, that offers excellent support for the affiliate. It is a competitor to click to sell, started in Europe. It runs in English just the same and is growing.
