Come on in and talk about what crafts you do.
I do a lot of different things. I have done rug hooking in the past, hubby and I have made teddy bears and cat tents, we have done Pretty Punch and now I am crocheting afghans. I love to knit and crochet. I have spent many years doing this and love it. I always have something on the needles.
I am sure there are other things I have done, just none come to mind right now. Tell me what you have been working on.

A librarian at my youngest daughter's school took it upon herself to teach kids how to knit during the lunch break. I'd never learned, so it was really cool that my then 9-year-old taught me and my 15-year-old how to knit. Since then, we've made lots of scarves but I'd really like to learn how to do other things. Ah...to have the time!
That's about the extent of my craftiness ;)

I just started making necklaces. Easy and fast to do. Lots of neat stones to use here in Brazil.

Sharon, that is neat that your daughter taught you how to knit. Its a great pastime. Are you interested in making mitts? I have a really easy and nice pattern I can pm to you if you like.
Laurie Ann I have never tackled making any kind of jewellery. That would be more in my hubby's line of crafting. He has tons of patience for those little things. He has made a lot of dreamcatchers but he hasn't showed me how to do them yet. lol

Hi Darlene,
Sure I would love that!
I publish an investigative report on a work at home offer each month, The WAH Reporter (http://www.2work-at-home.com/WAHReporter/index.shtml), and one month I investigated Disciples Cross. You can read my report here (http://www.2work-at-home.com/WAHReporter/7-06.shtml). That's the only jewelry making experience I have. Has anyone worked with that company?

I have to go into my discs and find it. I will send it off to you tomorrow. I won't forget. :)
I haven't worked with any companies like Disciples Cross. I am not into making jewellery yet. I read your report though. Pretty good.

I do cro hook knitting. I make baby afghans for people. I also have used up left over yarn and made some a little bigger for the linus projects. They give blankets to little children who might not have one to call their own. Neat idea. I like to do cross stitch also. Very little time at present with teaching and running a home business. Someday!!

The hubby is building me a new birdhouse or should I say a triple decker bird condo!

I have worked with a cro-hook before. I also use my left over yarn for blankets for my grandchildren and mitts in the winter. They look forward to that every year. They just informed me the other day they need a new knitted sweater soon too. The last one I made them is getting a bit small on them.
Shelly will we get to see a photo when the bird condo is done? :)

I like to crochet, cross stitch, and embroidery. That's about it...but I just don't have time for any of it anymore. ;)
Darlene...I've seen your work. Very nice! :)

I now have finished 4 afghans. The one I just did of Koty has a bit of color to it. The one I am working on now, is my 2 year old grandson and his will have more color. His also will the largest and hardest one to do. I will post when its one.
Only 3 more to make then I am finished with the grandchildren. Yes!!
Have a look. Koty is a blonde but I have no idea what color of yarn to use for blonde hair so I did it in silhouette style. He will be happy with it I am sure.

Thanks Sharon.
Stefani I think soap making would be fun. I thought about it one time but there are a lot of supplies you need for that right?

I like to crochet. I have made a different heart pattern blanket for each of my kids. It is a good thing I am done having kids I seem to have run out of heart patterns! He He! I also have been dabbling in bow making since I have two girls.

I enjoy knitting but haven't done it for many, many months. I do seem to want to pick it up again in the winter. Today would be a perfect day for it.....brrrr!

I just started to crochet an afgan for my daughter. It's been about 5 - 6 years since I've done this. I picked an easy pattern so I should be OK.

Lori, are you posting pictures when its done? We would love to see it.
Sharon, why is it everyone waits until winter to pick up those needles and knit or crochet? I have something on my needles year round. It comes with me practically everywhere I go. lol

Yes Darlene, I will post a picture for you when I am done. Just give me some time because this time of year it is hard to find free time to work on it.

I love getting involved with making stuff since I'm home all day with my son. Right now I make Diaper Cakes for friends who are having or going to a baby shower. And I'm thinking about getting into candle making.
Has anyone else made candles before? I hear they are a super simple craft.

I have made candles in the past, used to make them a lot. I used to make and sell them for a few years and then business started stinking thanks to the local dollar stores. People would rather pay $1.00 for crappy candles then $10.00 for a beautiful high quality candle.
So, I got out of the business.
They are fun to make though!
