I do not know how to get the word out about my blogs.

I do not know exactly how to reach anyone with my blog..is that the keywords and tags?

Is a blog really just a what am i doing?
What is it?

How are you using it to get the word out? Where?

Where do you blog for responses and visits?

I know that if you put your site in the blog that people read, you will get traffic.

But, I really have no idea....

And like Twitter and Squidoo.....these gave me a headache! I am really bad at it...

All advice welcome....

Blogging is a great way of marketing your business.

You can use www.blogger.com to set up a free blog, or preferably get a Wordpress blog and attach it to your site.

If you want to draw people to your blog you need to learn a bit about SEO and make sure you use good keywords (high search volume and low competition) in your blog title and post.

Put a link back to your website every time you post, and you will also be building backlinks.

You should also post your blog posts in social marking websites, and also on social networking sites such as Twitter and Facebook.

The more you post to your blog the more you will start to build visitors.

I hope this helps - I know it may all sound a lot to do, but if you find some good articles or e-books on the subject, you will find it's easy after a while.

When you blog you should aim to give more than receive. That means giving lots of free quality information, tools, resources, and whatever else. Your aim is to inform your readers not sell to them. But of course you will put in affiliate links or Adsense or whatever you want to monetize your blog at the same time.

The best way to get the word out about your blog is by building links to it. There are a ton of ways to do that...

Article marketing
Forums
Directories
Exchanges
Social bookmarking
Guest blogging
Commenting

...and many more.
