I've been somewhat looking into this. Can some one give me some details. I already have a WAH gig, but I thought this might be fun.

That is so funny. I've thought about it too. Uh....earn money spending someone else's? I have heard a little about it. It could be as great as going to a day spa or having a nice dinner or just lunch at McDonald's. You have to spend your money, but you get reimbursed.

Perhaps a great way to get out and make a contact or two..or would that constitute some kind of conflict of interest? No, I don't think it would.

A mystery shopper should blend in with other shoppers. The idea of being a mystery shopper is anonymity. You don't want those whom you are checking to know what you are doing. If they did know you were a mystery shopper then it would skew the results. The company for whom you are a mystery shopper should give you the information they want collected.

Mystery shopping or mystery consumer is a tool used by market research companies to measure quality of retail service or gather specific information about products and services. Mystery shoppers posing as normal customers perform specific tasks—such as purchasing a product, asking questions, registering complaints or behaving in a certain way – and then provide detailed reports or feedback about their experiences.
