I know that there's already a topic about choosing between Facebook and Myspace but I guess it would also be interesting to see everyone's view about Facebook and Twitter being compared - to know which one of them is better as a marketing tool.
Personally, I love Twitter and have been using it for quite awhile - I'm just happy with the result I get.

My answer is BOTH...I would not choose one over the other...I use both and I get great results from both.

both are great tools, but facebook is better, because you can reach more people with it...

I haven't used FB to network, but I don't like it nonetheless (I have a personal account). I prefer Twitter and work at home forums.

while both places are social, I've seen twitter used more for marketing.

I have a FaceBook account but not a Twitter account. I think FaceBook is good because I can link videos to my wall for friend to view.

I have both. I believe that Twitter is much better for promoting business ideas and meeting the right kind of people and I believe Facebook is for fun and friends.

I have both but prefer Twitter because it has a simple, uncomplicated effectiveness to it, plus I also think it's just more fun to use :)

Spedessenry,
With Twitter, I think it's important to make consistent but only relevant posts. It's also a good idea to connect your blog to it so that your blog posts are tweeted automatically. I use TwitterFeed (http://www.twitterfeed.com) for that. I also use Tweetlater (http://www.socialoomph.com/) (which I think is now called SocialOomph?) anyways....it has tons of really, really great features.
I found a good article on WebProNews on using Facebook to drive traffic to your site (http://www.webpronews.com/topnews/2009/03/11/facebook-can-drive-more-traffic-than-google) that has some great tips.
