Reporting to the Manager of Software Development, this is an excellent opportunity to expand experience and creativity in various .NET Applications. The individual will have the ability to telecommute / web commute or the individual may be located in our main St. Louis office. This position will initially be on a Contract basis with the possibility to move to full time employment status. Some responsibilities include:

1. Communications - Ability to create professional documents when needed to outline scope of projects and enhancements. These documents must outline specifics of new design elements. Ability to provide both written and verbal communications with other colleagues on a daily basis.


2. Problem Solving - Help with troubleshooting of current applications. Troubleshooting may involve working directly with customer as well as with other colleagues. Individual will need the ability to debug existing applications by viewing of code as well as viewing logs.


3. Team Work - The ability to work well as a team member. Teams may meet in person on occasion but the majority of the team work will require the use of telecommunication.


4. Self Discipline - Individual will be required to work on an individual basis regularly. Due to this, the individual must have self discipline to be able to stay on task. Individual must be able to set and keep deadlines provided.


5. Self Motivated - This position will be filled by a self-motivated individual who is productive working independently and who has the ability to handle multiple assignments and changing requirements. Excellent skills with user interface design - for both client and web applications - are essential.

We are seeking candidates who meet the following criteria:

1. Experience in Microsoft .NET Coding practices.

2. Willingness to travel when required for Meetings, trainings, etc.

3. Experience in various .NET Languages including C#, VB.NET. Experience in VB6, and C++ preferred but not required.

4. Experience in MSSQL including Stored Procedures, Functions, Create Scripts, Maintenance Scripts, Views, etc.

5. Experience with ActiveX, COM, .NET, C#, XML, XSLT, LDAP, HL7 Messaging, SourceSafe, IIS, LEADTools, Object-oriented programming is a plus.

6. Experience in Developing Web Applications, Web Services, Windows Applications, Windows Services.

7. Experience with Hospital Information Systems preferred but not required.

8. At least 2 years of related experience/education, preferably in the information technology/software industry.

9. Superior communications skills * written, verbal and presentation.

10. Good listener with exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport relate to people on all levels.

11. Strong customer service orientation with a commitment to customer satisfaction. Must have a value-added mindset.

12. Strong research, analytical and decision-making skills.

13. Demonstrated capacity for original thinking and independent initiative.

14. Strong attention to detail and follow-through.

15. Excellent personal organizational skills with the ability to effectively prioritize and direct the flow of multiple projects and tasks simultaneously.

16. Preference to work in a small company environment.

17. Strong computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. Familiarity with the Adobe suite of software, including a strong knowledge of PDF File format is desirable
