My personal opinion is that it is not worth the money you will invest. It's expensive and you can run up $500 to a $1000 in advertising in no time with very little results!

I suggest you spend your advertising dollars on targeted sites like 2Work-At Home where you reach the right people who are looking for you!

Here is another site you can use and get some great results with FREE ads for work at home moms and stay at home moms! http://www.wahmhotline.com Hope that helps! (http://www.wahmhotline.com)

MyKidsMom - As you mentioned you have been online for several years so you should realize that the acceptable way to participate in forums is to provide useful content and help to those who need it and to ask questions when you have some. Your signature file is designed to post your website link so that if someone is interested in your business they can click it in your signature.

I suggest you create a signature file so that you don't get accused of putting your website link in all your postings - it would apear that you are here in this forum to just advertise your site.

Don't know if the OP really wants an answer but I will give one anyway. She must be talking about AdWords because normal Adsense doesn't cost anything, as far as I know. Total beginners (I hate the word 'newbies') should stay away from AdWords, but my opinion is that Adsense does work to make you money. How much depends on whether or not your traffic is targeted. You can show your adsense sites all day long on a traffic exchange and not make a penny. But if your visitors are targeted then you can get a lot of clicks.

For this I think forums are best. Start a forum for a niche and you can be sure that everyone who joins will be interested in your Adsense links. Now, you only need to build a popular forum for you to make a good income.

This is true, AdSense is a big part of my income and it's definitely because my website is very targeted. I do find that the ads on my main site generate much more than on my forums...every site is different and you have to find what works for your site visitors.

Great point - I also agree and find that my Adsense ads on my blog generate most of my Adsense income. This owuld be because people find my blog posts from searches on a specific target, read what I have to say and then click on the ads, most of the time they are very relevant to the topic of the blog so the visitor is very targeted.

Hi Sharon,

What kind of numbers do people click on your adsense if I may ask? I have never found it to be profitable.......but I also dont have the number of ads you have as well....

It just seems like it varies so greatly for what you get per click...

Take care

I've done both (run Adsense vs. selling the space to clients) in certain spots on my site and have found that Adsense is more profitable in nearly all cases.

Just go to the Adsense (https://www.google.com/adsense/login/en_US/index.html)website, sign up for an account and then follow the instructions. It's pretty easy to implement.

adsense work when they click by internet surfers with different locations and you earn a passive income just exposing the links they put on your own website and yet they are useful too to others visiting your website when they could find some relevant information regarding what they are looking for in your website:)

Adsense is a great way to make money online, the fact that it's free to start is great and it's very easy to use. The reason why some people don't make money with adsense is because they don't have traffic to their sites and blogs and they don't test their ad placements and colors.

I agree. Traffic is very important, as well as placement. Adsense certainly isn't my main source of income, but I've made the $100 payout a number of times.

That's encouraging! I'm only up to $10....but have only had my blog up for a couple of months. I'm hoping it'll pick up some more! :D

i agree TRAFFIC is very important and if you have several websites it is best to put adsense on all your site to easily earn more money from adsense.
