Affiliate marketing is the process of selling other people's products and earning a commission in return for whatever you sell.

So why would you want to sell other people's products? By doing so, you never have to have anything of your own to sell, you don't have to hold any inventory, and you don't have to talk to any prospective customers. Instead, the company does all that for you.

Companies will pay people very large commissions for selling their products. For example, when you walk into a cell phone store that sells packages from Verizon, AT&T and Sprint, that store gets commissions from the companies for whatever they sell. Those stores are basically affiliates for the phone companies. They don't own any phone lines or employee any phone operators. They just sell the service plans for a commission.

If affiliate marketing interests you I have written a free report you can get called "How to Get Rich From Affiliate Marketing (http://top-work-from-home.com/AMreport.html)".

I am super new to affiliate marketing. I knew it existed but I didn't know that it could be so lucrative.

I recently purchased this program that basically gives you a long list of affiliate companies with the links and instructions to sigh up.

Along with the program, it gives you an extensive training and resources area that teaches you how to create a website that markets for you.

I am really happy that I got it.

Does anyone know of any other programs of this nature?

the most famous companies prefer this form of marketing because it's much more effective but talking about long-term, there is SEO and SEM

Is this like the home mailing jobs? I am new to all of this so this may be a silly question but are things like "homemailingjob.com" real? Do sites like this actually make any money for people that have tried them?
Thank you

BUddy - I am glad you have found a program that works for you and they are training you to be successful. That is often the biggest stumbling block - lack of training - that is why I created my report "How to Get Rich From Affiliate Marketing (http://top-work-from-home.com/AMreport.html)". If you are looking for another similar program I list my top picks in my free report.

Andytk5 - I am not familiar with homemailingjobs.com so I can't comment on that program. I suggest you read up on affiliate marketing before you join any company so you can determine if it is the right path for you.

Homemailingjob.com is your classic envelope stuffing scam. Stay far away from them.

I guess the best program is one that enhances or supports your main business...whether advertising, travel, etc.

Affiliate programs don't cost anything. You just sign up and get your tracking links and promote them on your site. The only thing that would cost is if you used paid ads to promote your affiliate links.

I think Affiliate Marketing is an Internet-based marketing practice in which a business rewards one or more affiliates for each visitor or customer brought about by the affiliate's marketing efforts.

HI..

Affiliate Internet Marketing is based on cost per lead or cost per sale. It simply indicates that the merchant pays the commission to the affiliate only when he makes a sale through that affiliate. It is one of the successful techniques of Online Marketing as it assures payment on delivery of results.

...When you sign up with companies and write ads about their products. If someone buys the product from the ad you wrote yourself, you get paid a commission. That is affiliate marketing.

I would like to tell you a little more---it is all about supply and demand and knowing HOW to supply the demand. You have to know what you are doing.

If you write ads that no one sees, because you do not understand affiliate marketing, you are wasting your time. If you use PPC (Pay_Per_Click), your ads will get seen, but you can lose your entire savings account!

There is free marketing available too. But, all in all--affiliate marketing makes many people happy. Money comes in on auto-pilot on some programs due to recurring subscriptions and you as the affiliate marketer reap the benefits just as the merchant.

Affiliate marketing Rocks!

Hope I helped you.

Success to you~
